Great for spotting black and white banded sea snakes, moray eels, Kohl's spotted sting rays and octopus. The calm shallow waters and sandy bottom make the bay perfect for student divers, try divers and holiday divers alike. Easy diving, but can get a little crowded in high season.
Depth: 5/25m. Visibility: 10/20m. Current: Little or none. Level 1: Good for all.

Outside Bungalow Bay
Open all year, outside the bay has a gently sloping granite wall. Much to see, with hard coral and many fish. Keep a lookout in the blue for passing bigger pelegic’s.The deep water makes it a perfect spot for Tech-Rec courses.
Depth: 10/35m. Visibility: 10/20m. Currents: Can run hard. Level 1: Good for all.

West Coast
Dived all year if surface swells are small. Plenty of sites to see here including; Lucy's reef, Stag horn reef and Home run. Lucy's and Stag horn are in the same vain as Bungalow bay but on a larger and deeper scale. Lots of the more common reef fish to be seen, and a few small Bommies to check out. Quite good diving despite a patch of dynamite type of destruction to Stag horn. Home run gets it's name because it is usually the last dive of the day. Good drift diving to be had here, and if the current is running your way you can see it all. Great wrecks to check out. Lots of corals and fish to see. On all these sites it is possible to see turtles, giant moray eels, lion and scorpion fish.
Depth: 5/25m. Visibility: 10/20m. Current: Light to a good drift. Level 1: Good for all.

Phuket Day Boat Diving Site Reviews - Racha Yai.

Situated around 90 minutes south by dive boat, Racha Yai is considered to be the ‘bread and butter’ dive site for the dive companies on Phuket.

Having numerous dive site to choose from the, island can and is dived all year round.

Lots of dive boats come here because of the easy diving for students, so if you're and experienced reef diver you may want to give it a miss. That would be a shame because Racha Yai has a lot to offer a kinds of diver

Bungalow Bay

Suffered some damage from the Tsunami of 2004, losing quite a lot of coral in the middle of the bay, but usually it is the sides of the bay which makes for the best diving, with lots of stag horn, brain and mushroom corals and plenty of fish.

Diving at Bungalow Bay Racha Yai Phuket Thailand Reef Scape.
Koh Racha Yai has the busiest dive sites of all Phuket’s sites, with lots of PADI Open Water students. But please do visit here even if you are an experienced diver, as there is something here for everyone.
