Q 3: What happens if I'm slow to learn?
• All PADI Scuba diving courses are performance based.
Your PADI open water diving courses is based on your performance of a set task, and

at hand. This lets you to learn at a pace that is good for you, no matter how many
students are on the course with you.
Q 4: How many learner divers will be on the course with me?
• Student to scuba diving instructor ratios are kept low on our Bronze & Silver packages.
Our Gold package open water diver courses is guaranteed to be one to one scuba diving

The maximum number of students to one scuba diving instructor allowed by PADI is
eight. At Scuba Dive Phuket we feel this is unsafe and keep the ratio to a maximum
of four dive students to one diving instructor.
Q 5: How will I get to my scuba diver training centre?
• Please make your own way to the dive centre if you are staying in Patong. If you

accommodation.
Q 6: What if I cannot complete my dive course because of illness or injury?
• If you cannot finish your open water course your scuba diving instructor will
sign a diver referral form.
A diver referral form states the sections of the open water course that you have
completed and allows you to continue the course at a later date with another PADI
diving instructor anywhere in the world. The referral lasts for up to 12 months.
Conditions do apply to the referral system and you will be informed of these in the
unlikely event of you being unable to finish your open water dive course.
