General Info

Similans Islands Liveaboard Dive Sites - Koh Tachai.
The most famous dive site here is the plateau, a submerged reef of hard sheet corals, and boulders. These boulders provide great swim-throughs and cut-through’s and a welcome respite for tired divers caught out by the very strong currents that can be met in these deep waters. The strong currents here give the chance of seeing big fish and this is what has made the island a popular stop off point for liveaboard dive boats.
Common fish to be seen here include blue dash & yellow backed fusiliers, red tooth trigger fish, big eye trevally, unicorn fish and tiara bat fish.
Not an easy dive and sometimes very tirering, but can be very rewarding.
Depth. 14/35m. Visibility. 15/40m. Currents. Can be very strong. Level 1/2. Experienced divers.
