M/V Phoenix - Similan Islands & South Thailand Liveaboard.

M/V Phoenix is a purpose built wooden hulled twin decked liveaboard dive boat.

The M/V Phoenix liveaboard has just completed her first Similan Islands season in style and I had the pleasure of cruising onboard for eight days, during a PADI Divemaster Course and can attest to the Captain’s luck in finding big Whale sharks and Manta rays when he dives.

Sleeping accommodation on the lower deck is comfortable and all cabins have Air Conditioning and Porthole windows. Restroom facilities are a little basic with three fresh water shower/toilet rooms, one external hand sink and two more showers on the jump deck. The diving area is roomy with 35 tank stations, fresh water buckets for dive computers and camera equipment. The spacey jump deck has two ladders for easy re-entry. The upper deck supports a comfortable covered roof open air saloon, kitchen, the captain and crew cabins and a sun deck where you can relax and catch up on your sun tan.

My overall memory of the M/V Phoenix liveaboard is one of a quietly efficient, knowledgeable crew who new how to make their customers feel relaxed and have a good time in and out of the water.
