The PADI scuba diver course has been designed for people who don’t have the time on their holiday to complete the more in depth PADI open water diver course - whether through lack of time or illness - or those who want only to scuba dive with the services of a PADI professional dive guide on their holiday.
The PADI scuba diver rating can be upgraded to full PADI open water diver at anytime in the future.

PADI Scuba Diver Certification Limitations

You can only dive to 12 metres depth, unable to freely rent air tanks to scuba dive with a dive buddy and you can only dive with a professional divemaster or diving instructor.
