The wreck its self is 87 metres long and rests at 32 metres and is covered in barnacles with many scorpion fish camouflaged between. With swim through's and fish a plenty, it is an interesting dive. Beautiful lion fish in many colours are a common sight, as well as teaming schools of the more usual reef fish.
With its close proximity to Shark point, Anemone reef and Koh Doc Mai the King Cruiser Wreck is usually, due to its depth, dive one of a two or three dive day.
Visibility is not always good and currents can run strong, giving the need to use the buoy line that is attached to the wreck and a recommended 70 bar air reserve for the safety stop.
Depths: 13/32m. Visibility: 5/20m. Current: Easy to strong. Level 2: Experienced divers/supervision for beginners.

Phuket Day Boat Diving Site Reviews - King Cruiser Wreck.

The final piece in the Phuket diving jigsaw puzzle was laid down on May 4th 1997 with the sinking of this Phi-Phi island’s ferry boat.

How she came to be so far off course and to hit Anemone reef is a topic that still lingers on.

Now the diving communities of Phuket and Phi Phi have embraced this final addition to their dive scene and enjoy it to the full. The wreck has also been embraced by the local underwater community with many families of fish moving to new homes from the over crowded Shark Point and no doubt prices will rise.
