Q 1: Are there any prerequisites for the PADI advanced/adventure diver course?
Yes there are prerequisites to taking the PADI advanced/adventure diver course.
• PADI open water certificate or equivalent rating with another training agency (advanced diver course only.)
• Be 15 years of age or older
• In good general health (download medical questionnaire.)
Children under 15 years of age.
• Children from 12 to 14 years of age can take the PADI junior advanced course and must fulfil all the above prerequisites and complete all the same course sections as the full PADI advanced course. The junior course can be upgraded when the junior diver reaches 15. (Depth limits and other restrictions apply.)
10 and 11 year olds are restricted to adventure diver and not allowed to take the deep diver section.
Q 2: What does my PADI advanced/adventure diver course price include?
Your PADI advanced/adventure diver course includes;
• Scuba diving instructor services
• All knowledge development
• Five/ Three open ocean dives. (You must take deep and navigation dives for advanced diver course)
• Transport to and from your hotel
• Certification card (advanced diver course)
• Adventures in diving manual.
Q 3: I've been ill recently is this a problem?
• You will be asked to fill in a PADI medical questionnaire and if you answer yes to any of the questions we will require you to take a medical. This is medical clearance can be obtained in Phuket Thailand for a small fee.

Q 4: How long does my advanced/adventure open water diver course take?
• The advanced diver course takes a minimum of two days.
• The adventure diving course takes one day.
Q 5: What happens if I'm slow to learn?
All PADI diving courses are performance based.
• All PADI diver programs are based on your performance of a set task, and you only progress to the next task when you have shown mastery of the dive course skills at hand. This lets you to learn at a pace that is good for you, no matter how many students are on the course with you.
Q 6: How many learner divers will be on the course with me?
• Student to instructor ratio is kept low.
• The maximum number of students to one instructor allowed by PADI is eight, but at Scuba Dive Phuket we feel this is unsafe and keep the ratio to a maximum of four students to one diving instructor.
Q 7: How will I get to my scuba diver training centre?
Hotel transfers are included in your diving course price.
• As there are no classroom sessions on this course all transfers will be to the dive boat, and knowledge reviews will be completed on the boat and by home (hotel) self-study
Q 8: What if I cannot complete my course because of illness or injury?
• If you cannot complete the course, we will sign you off on the individual dives done, as if they were adventure dives that can be put towards the advanced diver course any time in the future.
Q 9: When can I start my PADI advanced open water diver course?
Any time you want.
• Our advanced diving courses start every day.
Q 10: How deep will I go to on my advanced/adventure diver course?
• Although the maximum depth for recreational scuba diving is 40 metres, you will, on your adventure deep dive descend to a maximum of 30 metres. This is the maximum and probably you will reach less than this.

Q 12: Why do I need to make an online deposit?
Deposits are used for booking your diving instructor and boat dive trips.
• As a responsible scuba diving company we use course deposits to book the services of the most up to date, experienced and knowledgeable diving instructors in Phuket Thailand, and as such, these PADI professionals need to be booked in advance.
• We pay our PADI diving instructors for their services even if for some reason you cannot make your dive course. This allows us the pick the best person to help you attain your scuba diving goals.
• We only use the best dive boats available to us, regarding what we feel is paramount in diving - YOUR SAFETY.
• All our dive boat partners have the best dive boats running from Phuket to all the best dive sites and all are equipped with a full compliment of safety equipment onboard.
Q 13: Do I need to bring anything with me for my PADI advanced diving course?
Yes you need to bring;
• Two passport sized photographs
• Towel
• Swimming gear
• Sun block
Q14: Are there any other cost for my dive advanced diving course?
• Medical Exam.
