There are only two seasons in the Phuket weather cycle-the green season (rainy) from May to October and the hot season from November to April. This so called ‘hot’ season is the best time of year for the diver to visit Phuket, with average temperatures ranging between 23C nighttime and 33C daytime. Although the diving off Phuket is good all year round, this time of year sees the opening of the Similans National Marine Park to divers after their closure, due to poor sea conditions in the Andaman sea during the green season.
